Delicious waffles, if somewhat labor-intensive to prepare. I used unbleached whole wheat flour, and the waffle were hearty and crisp. Not sure about the corn meal. I had them with real maple syrup and confectioners’ sugar = excellent. Too bad the web site is slow to load and freezes due to the pop-up ads and interruptions. I tend to avoid this site for that reason. You need to clear off all of the many windows trying to run at once.

Nothing like brightening up the boys face with their favorite breakie!!! i always wanted to buy a waffle iron, but i m still fighting that thought with a really no-space in the kitchen for another gadget thought!!! I might end up buiying a silcon waffle mould!!Those waffles look gorgeous!!!! Warm and melting butter on it sounds divine!

My waffle maker has been used just once and that too for a fusion recipe! I really need to try your recipe. The waffles look so good Sandhya.And I feel once in a while we can use store bought mixes to safe us some time.

My kids LOVE waffles too. They would devour these in no time. I freeze the leftovers and they are great as quick breakfast on a busy morning.

Buying a waffle maker is in my list for long. Making it from scratch sounds pretty easy and serving it with maple syrup and fruits makes an amazing breakfast. The platter looks so good and nice tips on keeping waffles fresh until serving time.

One should never feel guilty while using these store bought mixes , they are actually very handy in rush hours and it is perfectly ok to go ahead with them. I am loving these waffles, they look nice and crisp..just like you said. The toppings are classic and you have beautiful clicks.
