We need about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of water. Start with 1 cup and add more later if needed.

The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of water but the directions say to cook the apples with 1 cup of water. Which is the correct amount? Thank you.

Love the spices that have gone into the apple jam. Jam making is pretty easy. I can imagine the aroma of the spices in your kitchen, must be heavenly.

Usha, frankly speaking I have used any and all kinds of apple. This is kind of my 'use my leftover apples' recipe. I have used red delicious, Fuji, Gala.

though I have made much jam, never before with apples. Only apple butter. Love the consistency. Cant wait to try this apple jam!
